Job Summary

Seelaus Asset Management is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Asset Raiser & Marketer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for driving asset growth by cultivating and expanding relationships with prospective and existing institutional and high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will articulate Seelaus Asset Management's mission driven culture, distinct investment philosophy and strategies, develop compelling marketing materials, and identify new capital-raising opportunities to contribute significantly to the firm's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, prospect, and secure new institutional, family office, and high-net-worth clients for Seelaus Asset Management. Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, understanding their investment objectives and aligning them with our offerings.
  • Capital Raising: Lead capital raising efforts across various investment strategies, effectively communicating our value proposition to sophisticated investors.
  • Marketing & Communications: Develop, refine, and deliver engaging marketing and presentation materials, including pitch books, fact sheets, and due diligence questionnaires, that clearly articulate our investment process, performance, and competitive advantages.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive landscapes, and industry developments to effectively position Seelaus Asset Management's offerings. Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management and investment teams to develop and execute strategic business development plans and fundraising initiatives.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of Seelaus Asset Management's diverse investment products, including active fixed income and equity strategies, and be able to confidently discuss portfolio construction, risk management, and performance attribution.
  • Compliance: Ensure all marketing and client communication activities adhere to regulatory requirements and firm policies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree. MBA or CFA designation is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in asset raising, investor relations, or institutional sales within the asset management industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully raising capital and building strong client relationships with institutional investors, consultants, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, and asset allocation strategies.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
