Job SummaryWe are currently seeking an experienced and meticulous, full-time Bookkeeper to oversee day-to-day financial operations. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid grasp of bookkeeping principles and the capability to manage specialized financial matters.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately record daily financial transactions in Quick Books Online, including tracking revenue streams, expenses, purchases, and payments.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of vendor invoices and client payments
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and multiple credit cards to maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
- Act as a liaison with the firm’s CPA and coordinate activities for the year-end financial close.
- Process annual 1099 forms for both federal and state tax requirements.
- Prepare and generate weekly financial reports as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and statements of cash flows.
- Pay monthly bills and issue checks as necessary to vendors and service providers.
- Review monthly invoices, accounts payable, and credit card statements for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process sales tax returns
- Prepare payroll tax forms and payroll calculations
- Respond to client inquiries regarding trip costs and invoices.
- 5-7 years of bookkeeping experience;
- Experience in General Accounting concepts ;
- Experience with Windows-based accounting programs;
- Proficient in Quick Books Online;
- Proficiency in MS Office:
Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, etc. - Must have a high level of attention to detail;
- Ability to multitask and handle sensitive, confidential information;
- Ability to work with minimal direction;
- College degree and/or equivalent work experience;
- Must be able to commute to our Chatham, NJ office.
- Competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $70,000, based on experience.
