A specialized nursing role is available for experienced PACU Registered Nurses in a Level I Trauma acute care hospital located in Chatham, IL. This contract position offers mid-shift hours from 10:45 AM to 11:15 PM, providing critical post-anesthesia care within a dynamic and supportive environment. Candidates must hold an active Illinois RN license and possess a minimum of five years' experience in PACU nursing, demonstrating proficiency in patient recovery and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and manage pain control effectively.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner electronic charting systems.
• Respond promptly to emergencies in a Level I trauma setting.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required, ensuring readiness to provide urgent care.

Desired Qualifications and

Certifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 5 years' PACU nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage high-acuity patients with attention to detail.
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred.
