We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is looking to learn the skills needed to develop a career as a forklift engineer. This apprenticeship role is an excellent opportunity to combine on‑the‑job working, excellent training and development, and the opportunity to work for the world’s No. 1 forklift truck and materials handling manufacturer.

The role involves learning the skills to be able to service, maintain and repair forklift trucks and other material handling equipment while studying towards an industry‑recognised qualification. This 3‑year programme combines college and workplace learning.

As an apprentice you will be working in one of our centres or at a customer’s site, working as part of our service team.

• Shadow and work with your mentor and the team to understand material handling equipment
• Learn about the trucks—how they work and how to fix them
• Attend block weeks at college for classroom and workshop learning
• Complete online learning and development with the learning provider

• GCSE grades A‑C or 4‑9 in English, Maths & either Science/Engineering or IT (or equivalent)
• Interest in mechanical engineering / engineering
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to take instruction and develop skills
• Basic computer skills
• Aged 18 or over (health, safety and customer site access requirements)
• Full UK driving licence (required for travel between customer sites)
