We are seeking an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team on a permanent subcontract basis
. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across residential and commercial properties. This role requires technical expertise, reliability, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, service, and repair plumbing and heating systems, including boilers, radiators, pipework, furnace and underfloor heating.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults efficiently.
  • Perform routine servicing of boilers and other heating appliances.
  • Respond to emergency call‑outs for leaks, breakdowns, or heating failures.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and health & safety standards, including Gas Safe where applicable.
  • Conduct safety checks, issue relevant certificates and maintain a clean and safe working environment on site.
  • Provide excellent customer service, communicate effectively with clients and provide advice on energy efficiency and system upgrades.
  • Complete job sheets, maintain accurate records of work carried out and manage own schedule, coordinating with other trades when necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Plumbing and Heating Engineer in installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • Gas Safe registration (preferred).
  • Knowledge of current building regulations and safety standards.
  • Own tools, transport and liability insurance.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Flexible to manage own schedule and willing to work on a permanent subcontract arrangement.
  • Public liability insurance.
Location

Kent, London and surrounding areas.

Compensation
  • London rates £230‑£260 per day, depending on experience.
  • Daily rates of £180–£200, based on experience.
