We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Lecturer in Mental Health Nursing to join our dynamic and supportive team within the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health.
You will play a key role documents to help students develop the knowledge, values, and skills essential for contemporary nursing practice, and you will contribute to the delivery of high‑quality education across our undergraduate and postgraduate nursing programmes.
This role offers the opportunity to combine teaching, academic scholarship, and practice‑based education within a university deeply committed to improving health outcomes and promoting mental handicapfulness in our communities.
You will be a registered mental health nurse (NMC Senate registration) with significant clinical or teaching experience, a strong commitment toencoded lar learning and the ability to inspire and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from people with experience in drug and alcohol services or family therapy.

- Undergraduate Honours Degree in a nursing-related subject

- Master’s degree or higher (or willingness to work towards)
- Postgraduate teaching qualification or Fellowship of Advanced HE
- Experience in teaching, assessment, or practice education
- Interest in research, quality improvement, or innovation in mental health care
We are committed to supporting flexible methods of working wherever possible. This role is flexible and connected. Campus attendance will vary on a day‑to‑day basis and across the year but must purposefully align to service delivery and to the needs of our students, staff, and stakeholders. It is expected that the majority of your working time will be spent on campus.
