ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Current certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.
-Current BCLS & ACLS certification required.
-BScN preferred.
-Recognized OR course or equivalent from Community College.
-Recent O.R. experience (within past 3 years) required.
-Cardiovascular Module Certification of Critical Care Nursing Program from a Community College (within past 5 years) required.
-Certification in Delegated Medical Acts - Recognition and treatment of Arrhythmias, Life Saving Drugs, Application of Energy required.
-2 years surgical experience required.
-Procedural Sedation Certification within 6 months of hire required.
-Canadian Perioperative Certification preferred.
-Member of RNAO preferred.
-Satisfactory attendance.
