Greenfield is looking for a Mechanical Integrity / In-House Inspector to join our growing team.

The Mechanical Integrity Inspector is responsible for conducting, documenting, and managing inspections of pressure equipment, tanks, piping systems, rotating equipment, and critical mechanical assets at the Chatham Distillery. This role ensures compliance with TSSA requirements, Ontario Regulation 220/01, and industry codes including API and NB inspection standards.

Your Experience Should Include:

  • Completion of post‑secondary education, mechanical engineering an asset.
  • 5–10 years in inspection, mechanical integrity, reliability, or industrial maintenance.
  • Experience in ethanol, chemical, refining, or power preferred
  • Strong knowledge of API 510/570/653/579/580.
  • Understanding of deterioration mechanisms per API 571.
  • Proficiency in UT/RT/PT/MPI interpretation.
  • Familiarity with CSA B51, ASME VIII & B31 codes, and TSSA regulations.
  • Ability to interpret U ‑ 1 forms, CRN packages, P&IDs, and vendor drawings

Job Responsibilities:

1. Inspection & Compliance

- Perform internal and external inspections on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, steam systems, rotating equipment, and relief devices.

- Ensure compliance with TSSA requirements, CRN documentation, U ‑ 1 forms, and site mechanical integrity procedures.

- Prepare turnaround inspection scopes and competitive bids from qualified vendors. Provide oversight of inspection companies when onsite.

- Develop repair plans and provide estimate for the Maintenance department budgeting and scheduling.

- Update P&IDs and piping isometrics for new projects and ‘as‑built’ repairs.

- Develop vessel specific hydrotest procedures to be followed for all vessel testing. Field photos, gaskets, studs and related details to be included.

2. Application of API Inspection Codes

- API 510 – Pressure Vessel Inspection Code

- API 570 – Piping Inspection Code

- API 580 – Risk-Based Inspection

3. Technical Documentation

- Maintain vessel reports, piping CML lists, exchanger tube maps, NDE summaries, and FFS assessments.

4. Mechanical Integrity Program Support

- Develop inspection plans, risk assessments, corrosion rate tracking, and turnaround scopes.
