Position Overview

Qualitech is looking for a 1st shift Production Technician for their food solutions division. This person will blend & pack products with respect to production, quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner. Responsible for following Company food safety and quality programs and assisting in the investigation and correction of any non‑conformance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure ingredient traceability by accurately recording lot numbers in batch sheets.
  • Ensure compliance with Company allergen control measures during batching operations.
  • Equipment allergen clean‑up and any other cleaning/sanitation related activities as assigned by management.
  • Ensure compliance to finished product weight requirements.
  • Periodic magnet cleaning.
  • Periodic checking of metal detectors.
  • Ensure product traceability by accurately recording the lot number on the packaging log and confirming lot on the product label.
  • Ensure packaging traceability by accurately recording the lot number of the packaging material or equivalent.
  • Ensure compliance with “Hold & Release” policies regarding non‑conforming products.
  • Ensure compliance with Company rework/blend back policies.
  • Package designated products as instructed.
  • Obtain proper bags from packaging areas.
  • Sample product and report irregularities to management.
  • Maintain clean working areas.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in place.
Education, Experience, Skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of basic technology of area where assigned.
  • Knowledge of quality, food safety and safe work procedures.
