We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fabricator to join our dynamic team at Quali Tech, a leading food manufacturing facility. The Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining equipment and structures used in the production of food products. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, food safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate, assemble, and install components and equipment according to blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Perform welding, cutting, bending, and machining of metal and other materials to create parts and assemblies.
- Inspect and ensure that all fabricated equipment meets safety, food safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with the design and modification of equipment to meet production needs.
- Collaborate with the engineering and maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
- Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels of materials, tools, and supplies.
- Ensure that all fabrication work complies with food safety regulations and health standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company policies.
- Participate in training programs to develop skills and stay current on industry standards and technologies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding, fabrication, or related fields is preferred.
- Proven experience as a fabricator, welder, or metalworker, preferably in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- Proficient in using fabrication tools and machinery such as welders, grinders, saws, and drill presses.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick), blueprint reading, and materials handling.
- Experience with food-grade materials and hygienic standards in manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and perform preventative maintenance.
