Under the direction of the Income Support Manager, the Resource Specialist delivers a wide range of services to assist staff and residents utilizing the Career Force Center and Family Resource Center. This role is responsible for connecting individuals to federal, state, and local programs, services, and resources; screening clients for program eligibility; collecting and reporting data; and providing technical guidance on computer software and resource materials to support job searches and access to community resources.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating and maintaining resource materials, managing the online calendar, opening and closing the Family Resource Center, organizing meetings and events, and fostering partnerships. The Resource Specialist also conducts outreach to families, community-based organizations, partners, job seekers, and employers.
- Performs a variety of customer service and customer assistance functions in the Career Force Center and the Family Resource Center.
- Demonstrates commitment to creating a community of belonging and support.
- Connects customers to federal, state, and local programs, services, and resources.
- Provides guidance and support to customers using Career Force Center software tools for job searches.
- Maintains and updates the online calendar.
- Coordinates and maintains resources materials in the Career Force Center and the Family Resource Center.
- Orders office supplies.
- Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- Preferred
Qualification:
2 years previous experience in providing customer service, client support services, or general program administrative support.
All applications will be screened for minimum qualifications, scored and ranked. The highest ranked candidates meeting minimum qualifications will be recommended for the scored oral examinations (interviews). Final selection for the position will include successful completion of oral interview(s), reference checks, and background investigation.
