Overview
Shift: Monday–Friday 3:30pm to 12:00AM. Occasional overtime during the week and weekends. The purpose of this position is to assemble quality endoscope imaging systems while adhering to prescribed standards.
Minimum Knowledge, Education And Skill Requirements- High school diploma, or equivalent experience.
- 2-4 years of experience assembling miniature precision medical products preferred.
- Substantial understanding of imaging assembly, or proficiency with multiple moderately complete imaging assemblies.
- Ability to understand assembly drawings and written assembly procedures.
- Ability to operate moderately complicated machinery.
- Ability to meet takt time and quality standards.
- Ability to work with adhesives, solvents, microscopes, small hand and power tools, measurement devices and other related tools and equipment.
- Ability to work well with coworkers.
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
- Must be punctual, able to sustain attendance guidelines, and work hours as assigned.
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Keen vision and the ability to pay close attention to details.
- Ability to perform detailed assembly work with a microscope for extended periods.
- Must be able to climb stairs.
- Work in a Class 1000 cleanroom environment with full cleanroom garb, and abide by cleanroom policies (no cosmetics or perfumes).
- Must be able to wear gloves or finger cots.
- It is not expected that this role will require driving.
- MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly.
- Must make decisions that affect coworkers and product quality.
- Ability to read English and understand SOPs and manufacturing procedures.
- DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform moderately difficult assemblies of various intricate optical and mechanical components; apply substantial understanding of endoscope assembly to a wide range of tasks; follow prescribed assembly techniques and time standards to produce quality subassemblies while meeting productivity guidelines; load/unload ovens; perform cleaning and inspection of components using hand tools and ultrasonic baths; reach final assembly and assembly-related tasks as needed; cross-train in other value stream assemblies;
participate in training and safety meetings; communicate effectively with coworkers and management. - Adhere to Company Equal Employment and Affirmative Action Policies.
- Maintain knowledge of and adherence to FDA Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001.
- Produce and maintain production records.
- Notify proper personnel regarding manufacturing materials performance and stock levels.
- Properly complete all required production documents.
- Clean and maintain personal and general work areas.
- Maintain flexibility to support a changing work environment and multiple tasks.
- Maintain training certification in a variety of tasks within the Imaging Team.
