Camp Maintenance ; Seasonal

Description

Under the supervision of the Camp Director and the Facilities Director, the Facilities Maintenance Staff Associate has direct responsibilities for the overall appearance and maintenance of the camp and grounds of Camp Foskett.

This is a summer seasonal position with a start date of June 22nd going through August 23rd. Shift will be from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Monday-Friday.

• Responsible for overall maintenance and cleaning of Camp Foskett facilities and grounds; restrooms, pavilion, office, and classroom spaces.
• Tasks include but are not limited to trash disposal, dispenser filling, toilet and sink cleaning, raking the beach, hosing down the deck, and other general maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety regulations in accordance with the YMCA of Central MA, City of Worcester, OSHA, and the Model Aquatic Health Code.
• Report any problems, repairs or supplies to Camp Director.
• Commit to working at least 8 weeks of camp. If you need time-off, it MUST be approved prior to hiring.
• Receives and carries out instructions
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times; wear clothing that meets the YMCA dress code.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be at least 18 year old
• Must be able to obtain CPR/AED/First Adi Certifications asap or within 30 days of hire
• Able to tolerate working outdoors in all types of weather including hot, rainy, and/or windy days
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds, bend over, and walk & stand for long periods of time
• Must have reliable Transportation

Job Type: Seasonal

Schedule: 25hrs per week. Monday-Friday from 12:00pm-5:00pm

Pay: $16.50 per hour for new hires and $17.50 per hour for returning Camp Maintenance staff with 1 yr experience, and $18.00 for returning Camp Maintenance staff with 2+ years experience. Plus, access to YMCA facilities for all YMCA staff, Employee Assistance Program, & Sick Leave
