Hi 👋🏾 I’m Abhik, Ashby's Co-Founder and VP of Engineering. We’re looking for a versatile, persistent product engineer who can set up reusable building blocks across the stack and advocate for the time and space to do so. We combine the agility of a seed‑stage startup with the scale of a growth‑stage company. You’ll work with customers like Notion, Linear, Shopify, and Snowflake and ship features that reach tens of thousands of daily users.

As a Product Engineer you’ll take ownership over a large portion of a product and own projects end‑to‑end—wearing hats traditionally worn by product and design. You’ll research competitors, write product specs, make wireframes, and build the final solution.

• Designed and built automated interview scheduling—calculating possible times from a pool and presenting candidate options in our web app.
• Built a generalized declarative filter architecture allowing users to create complex filters and compile them to SQL.
• SPECCED, designed, and implemented a feature that lets users complete signing offers entirely within Ashby.

We’re creating intelligent, powerful talent‑acquisition software that automates scheduling, tracks interviewer load, and provides insights into inefficiencies. Our goal is to give TA teams the highest standard of tooling.

• Introduction call with Hiring Manager (15–30 min).
• Technical screen with pair‑programming (1 h).
• Three non‑coding interviews focused on product thinking, design, and infrastructure (≈3 h 15 min). Optional recruiter screen may be added.

We provide feedback even if an offer isn’t extended.

Onboarding includes single‑script dev environment set up, first product change on day 1, and a series of product changes of increasing scope. Manager reviews at 30, 60, and 90 days.
