Field Service Technician - Unlicensed

Battlefield Equipment Rentals (a division of Toromont Industries Ltd.), one of Canada’s premiere Construction Rental Companies, has an immediate requirement for a Field Service Technician. The Charlottetown branch is a busy, customer‑driven facility. It is a fast‑paced, team‑oriented atmosphere that places a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction. The service department is an important area of our business, ensuring that our equipment is ready and available for our customers.

This position requires a hard‑working, dedicated individual with excellent attention to detail, who can excel in a busy, team‑oriented environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide excellent customer relations, possess strong teamwork ethics, as well as having strong organizational and prioritizing skills.ereal previous experience with rental equipment or a strong background in a related field would be an asset.

$25.00–$35.00 hourly depending on experience.

• Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of Battlefield’s health and safety policy programs and initiatives;
• Repair and service equipment on site
• Perform inspections on equipment on job site
• Ensure parts are ordered in a timely manner
• Maneuver efficiently and effectively within the region in all traffic situations
• Provide excellent customer relations in a fast‑paced environment
• Adaptable to on‑call work schedules and willing to work in all weather conditions;
• Ensure vehicle is maintained and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Participate in safe workplace safety, environmentally sound behaviors and practices at all times in support of Battlefield’s health and safety policy programs and initiatives;
• Extensive background and knowledge of construction equipment and the necessary parts and services to maintain and repair;
• Hands‑on experience in troubleshooting and repairs;
• Existing knowledge of the service/maintenance requirements for all types of construction equipment including Genie, Skyjack and CAT;
• Ability to work independently, skilled in time management and organization;
• Supervisory experience and previous компоната experience;
• Adaptable to on‑call work schedules and willing to work to meet the demands of the business;
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with Cat systems (ET and SIS would be considered beneficial);
• A customer‑centric and positive attitude; good communication skills;
• A valid G‑class driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract is mandatory.

• Applicant must be able to perform heavy lifting; as heavy lifting will be required frequently;
