AboutThe Role
At Innodata, we partner with leading technology companies to build the future of generative AI and large language models (LLMs). We are seeking a smart, curious Generative AI Specialist to join our Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Demand program. This is a part‑time, remote, flexible, project‑specific opportunity designed for those who want to make a real impact on their own schedule.
Whether you’re a writer, linguist, educator, researcher, or simply passionate about language and logic, this role lets you contribute to cutting‑edge AI development while maintaining control over your time.
You will help LLMs understand the intricacies of language and reasoning—not just how to write, but how to think. This position is more than a gig; it’s a chance to shape the future of AI from anywhere in the world, on your own terms.
What You’ll Be Doing- Evaluation:
Rate/assess AI model performance through evaluative questions. - Annotation Labeling:
Label specific elements of content rather than the content as a whole. - Classification:
Assign predefined categories or labels to items. - Content Quality:
Evaluate perceived quality and appropriateness of content. - Content Understanding:
Generate labels to advance understanding of concepts or trends. - Data Augmentation:
Create additional training data by applying transformations to original data (e.g., image rotation, paraphrasing). - Grading:
Review data and identify whether a product feature works as intended per project guidelines. - Identification Labeling:
Label model outputs to identify content (e.g., clickbait, branded content). - Preference Ranking:
Order or rank items based on preferences or criteria. - Prompt Generation:
Create prompts or questions for language models or other AI systems. - Relevance Evaluation:
Assess content relevance using a relevancy scale. - Response Generation:
Generate responses to prompts or questions using AI. - Response Rewrite:
Rewrite existing text to improve clarity or style while preserving meaning. - Response Summarization:
Produce concise summaries of longer texts or data. - Similarity Evaluation:
Compare content to drive determinations. - Transcription:
Convert spoken language or audio into written text. - Translation:
Convert text or spoken language from one language to another. - Data Collection:
Gather and compile various forms of data for training, evaluation, or fine‑tuning AI models.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required.
- Professional or expert level proficiency (C1/C2) in English.
