Controller

Our client, a fast-growing and highly successful startup based out of North Vancouver, is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead their core financial operations across both their Canadian and U.S. entities. Reporting to the CFO, you'll help shape scalable accounting processes while ensuring accuracy and compliance in a high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the accounting team while actively handling day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Oversee timely and accurate recording of financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support schedules.
• Utilize Net Suite and other systems to streamline and automate accounting workflows.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare related documentation.

Qualifications:

• Inventory accounting experience dealing with a high volume of SKUs is preferred.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams in fast-paced settings.
• Strong knowledge of Net Suite (or similar ERP systems) and Excel-based data analysis.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, accrual accounting, and revenue recognition.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• CPA designation and previous bookkeeping experience are preferred.
