Overview
Join our team as a Warehouse Associate! Virginia Eagle Distributing Company is currently hiring for a full time Warehouse Associate at our Charlottesville location. Monday - Friday 1st shift - 6 am until approximately 2:00 pm. There is a rotating Friday close shift that is 8 am until close (between 4 - 6 typically).
About the RoleAs a Warehouse Associate, you ll play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Aficionado:
Receive beverage loads and maintain inventory according to VED standards. - Loading Expert:
Re-load dunnage/empty cooperage for returning to suppliers, and assist in picking orders for bulk routes. - Outdoor Organizer:
Keep outside storage areas, including the draft cooler, in top-notch condition. - Team Player:
Fill in as relief for other warehouse positions, including night loader, ensuring smooth operations at all times. - Sparkling Clean Spaces:
Sweep and scrub our CEW/warehouse floors, ensuring all facilities are spotless and welcoming. - Waste Warrior:
Handle trash disposal in the CEW and keep our environment clutter-free.

Minimum Requirements- Prefer 2 years of previous forklift experience.
- Prefer 2 previous warehouse receiving experience, however, applicant with good job stability is also a good fit.
- Must be able to lift and carry, including overhead lifting, 15-45 pounds or more on a repetitive basis during a 10 to 15 hour day with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and sitting.
- Must be able to utilize basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to communicate utilizing the English language in verbal and written form.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job.
