Role SummaryThe Methods Senior Software Developer is an onsite position at our Charlottesville, Virginia plant, supporting the manufacturing shop floor with state‑of‑the‑art technology.
What You Will DoAs a Software Developer at Mikro, you will modernize and optimize our manufacturing technology landscape. Your day‑to‑day work will involve collaborating with shop floor operators, senior leadership, and cross‑functional teams to enhance the ERP system, develop integration tools, and create data pipelines and dashboards that drive efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using and Python.
- Integrate and customize ERP systems to support manufacturing workflows.
- Analyze business needs and align them with the company’s ERP strategy.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the ERP roadmap.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reports for operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, IT professionals, and business analysts to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure software quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical leadership within the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field and 5+ years of professional experience, or advanced degree and 3+ years of experience.
- Strong proficiency in and Python.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP platforms (e.g., Infor, SAP, Oracle).
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and systems integration.
- Experience with data analytics, report generation, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SSRS).
- Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Experience in aerospace or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, REST APIs, and cloud platforms.
- Agile development experience.
Salary range: $86,800 – $165,200 USD (good faith estimate). Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, parental leave, paid time off, holidays, and more. Additional incentive compensation may apply based on level and business unit.
