Position Summary
This armed position is under the direct supervision of the Manager for assigned high‑profile site and performs a variety of security‑related duties. In this position, you will observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations, providing for the security and safety of client property, visitors, and personnel. As an armed officer, you may respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol.
Additionally, you will assist in preserving order and may act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises; control access to client site and facility through the admittance process; respond in all situations; monitor entrances and exits and act to prevent unapproved or unlawful entry. Some assignments may require patrol on foot or in vehicle, checking for unsafe conditions such as hazards, unlocked doors, and security violations;
protecting evidence or scenes of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations; and preparing logs or reports as requested. May be exposed to stressful situations. Candidates must be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.

- All functions, duties, tasks are to be carried out in an honest, ethical and professional manner, and to be performed in conformance with applicable company policies and procedures. In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, employees are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
Security guards shall answer questions and provide directions to visitors and building tenants. Typical duties include processing visitors by verifying identification, enforcing property rules and regulations, contacting agency sponsors or escorts, fabricating and issuing visitor passes, entering and maintaining data on visitor logs or automated visitor database programs, detecting and reporting criminal acts, and ensuring visitors are presented for appropriate personnel and package screening.
Additional duties include preventing, discovering, delaying, and/or detaining persons attempting to gain unauthorized access to property and/or personnel at the facility being protected.
Security guards will be responsible for operating all security equipment on post, such as batons, OC spray, X‑ray machines, magnetometers, closed circuit television (CCTV), handcuffs, and—where required by post assignment—firearms at any time while on duty.
Minimum Qualifications- US citizenship (preferred).
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or an equivalent certificate.
- Speak English fluently, read and comprehend written English, and compose coherent written reports in English.
- Two (2) years’ armed security experience within the past five years or two (2) years of service with the military/US Armed Forces (active duty or reserve).
- Pass the medical examination, drug test, and physical agility test if applicable.
- Top Secret Clearance is required.
- Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
