Millenium Security is currently seeking experienced applicants to fulfill part-time and full-time Unarmed and Armed Security Officer positions. Qualified candidates must possess a current, up-to-date Department of Criminal Justice Certification. Selected candidates will be required to complete a company application. All applicants that are extended an offer of employment will be required to pass a background check.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Over 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Current DCJS Certification.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable Transportation to and from work.
• Fluent in both written and verbal English communication.
• Day / Evening / Night / Overnight / Weekend availability.

PREFERENCES

• Current CPR/AED Training
• Previous Security, Law Enforcement, Military Experience
• Proficient or advanced working knowledge of Internet programs, applications, and word processing software as required.

DUTIES

The Security Officer is the first line of defense to deter, detect, and mitigate illegal and criminal activity. Millenium Security Officers perform either some, all, but not limited to the duties listed below:

• Patrol customer properties to include college campuses, hospitals, business establishments, parking areas, construction sites, private schools, and more.
• Controlled access support. Lock and unlock facilities.
• Promptly identify, evaluate and respond appropriately to all incidents and emergencies. Including, but not limited to, fire alarm and burglar alarm.
• Complete agency logs (patrol, vehicle, etc.) to provide accurate documentation of daily activities.
• Utilize radio and/or other communication devices in a clear, routine, and efficient manner.
• Document and all report malfunctions, misconduct, operational or safety issues.
• Interview victims, witnesses, and complete incident reports as necessary.
• Maintain a professional appearance and willingness to help and assist all patrons.
• Assist in the development of safety plans for service sites.
• Monitors activity in and around buildings and grounds.
• Perform camera surveillance tasks. Which includes monitoring activity in or around service sites and grounds.
• Select service posts may require individuals to have additional working knowledge of Internet programs, applications, and word processing software as required.

All security officers MUST be customer-service oriented. Uniforms provided.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
