Overview

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time DISHWASHER positions at UVA Health, Charlottesville, VA. Online applications accepted only.

• Full-time and part-time schedules;
  Monday through Friday, 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
• Rotating weekends required.

• Prior dishwashing experience is preferred.

• Willing to train.
• Pay Range: $15.25 per hour to $15.50 per hour.

• Maintain dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in orderly and sanitary condition.
• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash by hand or using a dishwashing machine as assigned; ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays according to procedures; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using appropriate methods as assigned; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Comply with safety procedures and maintain proper temperatures and chemical levels as outlined.
• Keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors; wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and manage waste according to guidelines.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas; assist with loading/unloading as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
