The successful candidate will apply multinuclear NMR approaches using state-of-the-art 400 MHz magic angle spinning (MAS) dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) and 600 MHz solid-state NMR spectrometers equipped with an array of probes.
The Venkatesh group has access to facilities for solution-state NMR, electron paramagnetic resonance, X-ray and microscopy techniques, and high-performance computing resources offer a collegial environment, support for career advancement, opportunities to lead teams and collaborations with internationally renowned labs and facilities.
Required Qualifications:
PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field by the start date with a strong background in NMR spectroscopy or application of NMR spectroscopy for materials characterization.
Preferred skills:
Experience in solid-state NMR spectroscopy, DNP-enhanced NMR, applications of NMR to catalytic materials, and ability to work in a collaborative environment. A record of peer-reviewed scientific publications in international journals and conference presentations will be valued. The successful candidate will be expected to be capable of working independently and participate in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students in the group.
