Overview
The Tang Lab at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar in cellular and molecular biology, focusing on genome instability in cancers. The lab studies the molecular mechanisms of chromosome segregation defects (aneuploidy), chromothripsis, transcription‑replication conflicts (TRCs), DNA‑protein cross links, and other contributors to genomic instability. The goal is to understand complex genome rearrangements prevalent in cancers and congenital human disorders, potentially leading to novel therapeutics for related diseases.
