Virginia Veterinary Specialty & Emergency (VVSE) is seeking a fourth board-certified or residency-trained Veterinary Surgeon to join our growing team of specialists in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia.

We are a well-established, multi-specialty referral and emergency hospital dedicated to providing advanced medical, surgical, and critical care to pets across central Virginia. Our hospital is home to board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, and critical care, along with a full-service rehabilitation department and 24/7 emergency care supported by an ample and diverse caseload.

This position is available full-time or part-time, offering an excellent opportunity to achieve professional fulfillment and maintain a healthy work‑life balance.

• Collaborative team environment of specialists and emergency veterinarians who value teamwork and exceptional patient care
• Dedicated anesthesia and surgical support team providing around-the-clock monitored post‑operative care
• Ability to perform complex orthopedic repairs and advanced soft tissue surgeries
• Access to arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and minimally invasive surgical capabilities
• Fluoroscopy and interventional radiology operating suite equipped for a wide variety of cases
• Advanced diagnostics including in‑house lab, digital radiology, ultrasound, CT, holmium laser, and endoscopy
• Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner
  ‑led rehabilitation department

• Board‑certified or residency‑trained (ACVS or equivalent)
