American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a day shift stepdown position in a neuro-focused intermediate care unit, requiring Epic experience and a VA or compact RN license.

• Work in a 12-bed stepdown unit specializing in neuroscience and critical care principles
• Patient population includes post-Neuro ICU transfers, neuro trauma, subarachnoid and intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT cancer post‑op with flap reconstruction, and spine surgery patients
• Patient ratio is 1:3
• Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00
• Requires work every other weekend and every other holiday
• 13‑week contract assignment
• Must adhere to float policy
• Uses Epic EMR
• Care for a diverse neuro‑focused intermediate care patient population
• 40 hours of requested time off can be approved per 13‑week contract
• Will be required to float per policy based on clinical competencies
• No local radius rule applies
• Background information if applicable should be disclosed
  
  Holiday coverage is every other holiday per schedule

• Current VA or compact RN license in hand or pending at time of consideration
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required upon consideration
• Must provide copies of required certifications, driver’s license, and Social Security card
• 12 months must pass to return as a traveler
