Registered Nurse Emergency Department Resource Pool

Overview

Sentara Hospital Support Services is hiring a Registered Nurse to work for the Regional Resource Pool - Northern VA/Blue Ridge. Schedule Control & Premium Pay. Develop stronger, diverse clinical skills. This position is Flexi-pool / Swing Shifts. Flexible self-scheduling and premium pay. Requires a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per month, night shift only, and at least 1 twelve-hour weekend shift per month.

Availability to work at two or three hospitals:
Woodbridge (Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center), Martha Jefferson (Charlottesville), and Rockingham Memorial (Harrisonburg). Must reside within 75 miles of two of the three hospitals.

The Registered Nurse is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care and health promotion, and evaluation. Adheres to standards of practice and professional performance, with clinical knowledge to meet standards required by specific clinical areas.

  Minimum 18 months recent ED RN experience; must be able to work in all units for which qualified (e.g., Med/Surg, ICU, IMCU, ED) and a minimum of two different units

Resource Pool covering three hospitals in the Blue Ridge region:
Rockingham Memorial (Harrisonburg), Martha Jefferson (Charlottesville), and Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center (Woodbridge).

Offers premium differential pay and flexible self-scheduling (up to full-time hours if desired). Availability to schedule no more than two weeks in advance. Requires a minimum of 48 scheduled hours per pay month; at least one 12-hour off-shift and one 12-hour weekend shift per month. Requires minimum RN experience of 18 months and the ability to work in all units for which qualified, with a minimum of two units.
