Community Manager at The Elysian at Stonefield in Charlottesville, VA. Thalhimer’s Multifamily team is seeking a Community Manager to oversee daily operations in the Charlottesville area. We are looking for an experienced, driven, and highly motivated individual with a passion for property management.

Key Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or 5+ years of experience in property management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with property management software.
  • Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Flexible, dependable, and eager to contribute in a dynamic work environment.
  • A customer-centric mindset with the ability to relate to people and provide excellent service.
Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the community’s operations, including: managing leasing, marketing, and maintenance activities.
  • Oversee the turnover and punch-list process with contractors to ensure a seamless transition for new residents.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reporting.
  • Provide a high level of customer service, ensuring all resident needs are met promptly.
  • Lead marketing efforts, including online advertising, print media, and community outreach.
  • Respond to rental inquiries and track prospects with regular reports to the corporate office.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure leases are executed in accordance with corporate policy and VRLTA regulations.
  • Manage the maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders, unit inspections, and preparation of units for occupancy.
  • Oversee property expenditures to ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Implement and manage renewal programs to maintain tenant satisfaction.
  • Organize and maintain tenant files, ensuring they are neat and up-to-date.
  • Ensure clear communication with tenants and maintain a strong community presence.
  • Regularly inspect the property and walk the community to maintain its appeal.
  • Plan and host resident events to foster a sense of community.
  • Conduct market surveys and make recommendations for rent adjustments or concessions as needed.
