Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH international Corporation seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Business Analyst. This position supports the design and implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities aimed at transforming mission operations, improving efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making. The analyst acts as a liaison between stakeholders, data scientists, and technical teams to ensure that AI/ML solutions align with operational goals and regulatory requirements.

• Requirements Gathering and Analysis
  • Collaborate with mission stakeholders to identify operational challenges and opportunities for AI/ML integration.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements for AI/ML solutions, ensuring clarity and alignment with agency objectives.
  • Conduct gap analyses to determine where automation and predictive analytics can enhance mission workflows.
• Solution Design Support
  • Work closely with data scientists and architects to translate business requirements into AI/ML models and workflows.
  • Validate proposed solutions against business objectives and compliance standards.
  • Assist in defining success metrics and performance indicators for AI/ML initiatives.
• Process Transformation
  • Analyze existing mission processes and recommend AI-driven optimizations, such as predictive risk assessments or automated incident classification.
  • Support change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of AI/ML tools across operational teams.
• Testing and Validation
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for AI/ML solutions to confirm functionality and usability.
  • Document findings and coordinate with technical teams for solution refinement.

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional experience) in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, including hands-on business process modeling (BPMN), documenting functional and non-functional requirements, conducting gap analyses, and delivering successfully executed projects with demonstrated problem-solving expertise.
• Technical proficiency with collaboration and documentation tools such as Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, and Excel, along with a working understanding of machine learning workflows, predictive analytics, model validation principles, and AI-driven process optimization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including data storytelling, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language, and preparing impact assessments and business cases to support technology adoption.

• Experience supporting AI/ML initiatives within mission-driven or regulated environments.
• Background in process transformation, automation strategy, or predictive analytics implementation.
• Experience preparing impact assessments, executive briefings, and business cases for technology adoption.
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

• Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position.
