Responsibilities
Demonstrates the cognitive and technical skills required to acquire a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) including appropriate preparation of skin surfaces correct placement of electrodes and leads accurate patient identification and verification electronic download of the ECG order to the cardiograph waveform acquisition and storage and electronic upload of the ECG to the enterprise ECG management system.
Coordinates ECG routing and clinical workflow to support electronic interpretation by Cardiology fellow and attending MD.
Demonstrates the cognitive and technical skills required to apply a Holter or cardiac event monitor including accurate patient identification and verification appropriate preparation of skin surfaces and correct placement of electrodes and leads.
Demonstrates proficiency in the configuration communication clinical use and trouble-shooting of FDA-approved medical devices including cardiographs Holter monitors cardiac event monitors and other heart rhythm remote monitoring equipment.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience:
No experience required.
Licensure:
American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive);
Repetitive motion:
Keyboard, console and workstation repetitive motion. Ability to lift/push/pull 20 – 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
The starting base rate for this role is $15.37 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
