Position Overview
The University of Virginia School of Nursing seeks applications to fill non‑tenure‑track Clinical Instructor faculty wage positions.
We seek RN’s with clinical experience in specialties such as pediatrics, obstetrics, psychiatric‑mental health, community/public health, and general medical or surgical specialties.
Responsibilities- Direct supervision of students in the clinical practice setting and possibly the Clinical Simulation Learning Center (CSLC)
- Evaluation of required written work
- A degree at the bachelor's, master's, or doctoral level in nursing or related field
- Strong commitment to teaching and mentorship
- Eligibility for RN licensure in Virginia. For the APRN program, eligibility for Virginia nurse practitioner licensure, prescriptive authority, and national certification
- At least two years of clinical nursing experience; teaching experience preferred
This at‑will faculty wage position does not carry benefits.
