Overview
These roles focus on the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of mental health disorders, emotional disturbances, and behavioral issues. Professionals within this job family work with individuals, families, and groups to address psychological well-being and promote mental health through therapeutic interventions, counseling, and support services. Licensed professionals who connect UVA students and staff to support systems that are available to address a variety of issues, such as housing, financial distress, mental health and crisis intervention.
Responsibilities- Education:
Master’s degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited social work program required - Experience:
3 years’ experience post-master’s required - Licensure:
Licensed to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia (LCSW) or applicants with an active license from another state must obtain Virginia LCSW within 18 months of hire date
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, standing, travel, or use of assistive devices and climbing stairs. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail; ability to read, write legibly, and distinguish colors. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Lifting/pushing/pulling less than 20 lbs may be required.
The starting base rate for this role is $61,443.20 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
