Echocardiographer- Non-Invasive Lab

Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a full time Echocardiographer in Charlottesville, VA! Ideal candidates will have one year of experience.

$20,000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates.

The noninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RN’s, Cardiovascular Technicians, and Sonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient. The Echocardiographer must live within a 30-minute drive of the hospital for call purposes.

Monday – Friday, day shift, with call every 4th week to include the weekend. Either 7 to 3:30p or 8a to 4:30p.

The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Associates or bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology preferred
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines.

• Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 90 days of hire
• Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.

• Echocardiography - 1-yr. exp highly preferred
• two dimensional echocardiograms
• Clinical Experience in an acute setting
• Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
• Communication with patients and providers
• knowledge on performing measurements of heart structures
• visualizing potentially critical findings
