Patient Care Tech - Nights

Overview

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is looking for a Full‑time Patient Care Technician to work the night shift in Charlottesville, VA. As a Patient Care Technician>>>> with Sentara, you will learn many new skills from taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. Your primary duties will include supporting the admission and discharge process, changing, bathing, and ambulating patients, drawing blood, and providing Foley catheter care while meeting patient needs under the direct supervision of a nurse.

• Support the admission and discharge process.
• Assist with changing, bathing, and ambulating patients.
• Draw blood and perform related tasks.
• Provide Foley catheter care.
• Meet patient needs under'heure direct nurse supervision.

• High school diploma or equivalent Combined with one of the following:
• Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
• Completion of U.S. Navy Hospital Corps School
• Emergency services (EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, paramedic)
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program (beyond prerequisites) having completed at least one semester of RN, LPN, RT or PT
• Current work experienceراكز within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant
• One year of prior health care experience preferred.
• American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
