Provides clinical support to regional accounts and requires extensive travel up to 100% of the time to sites across the region.

Salary

$85,000 – $90,000

Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian acts as the primary contact for guests, assessing nutritional and dietary needs, making recommendations, and collaborating with client representatives, nursing/medical staff, Dining Services Directors, and team members. The role leads communication and implementation of new clinical systems and programs, ensuring statutory actions and documentation are consistently delivered, integrating nutritional requirements into dining services production and operations. The Dietitian controls planning, recommendations, documentation, and resident/patient nutritional needs within company standards and statutory requirements.

Functions and Key Tasks
  • Evaluate resident nutritional needs and establish individualized plans of care.
  • Monitor resident status and take appropriate actions.
  • Work collaboratively with dining services to ensure seamless seven‑day operations.
  • Create and maintain documentation.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Update and apply professional knowledge.
  • Set and communicate objectives, reinforce high standards, monitor performance, address issues.
  • Complete required departmental audits and correct actions as needed.
  • Fulfill directives by corporate support within designated time frames.
Education and Experience
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) or licensure/certification.
  • Serve Safe, Choke Save, and Allergen certification preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics with Dietetic Internship or equivalent; membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics;
    Master’s degree preferred.
  • Two years of clinical experience in a senior living environment.
Work Environment
  • Schedule may be 10 days on and 4 days off; scheduling determined by support needs.
  • Requires extensive travel up to 100%.
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and reside within commutable distance to a major airport.
  • Work involves extreme temperatures/conditions, frequent interaction with heated equipment, grease, refrigeration/freezer, and at‑risk conditions.
  • Computer knowledge essential, including multiple software programs.
  • Involves repetitive motion, walking, standing, lifting, pushing, carrying, and repetitive wrist motion.
