, UVA Specialty Pharmacy supports patients with complex and chronic conditions including cancer, HIV, cystic fibrosis, multiple sclerosis, and transplant-related therapies.
As a Clinical Pharmacist
, you will:
- Deliver expert clinical oversight for specialty medications
- Partner with providers to optimize therapeutic outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe, effective medication use
- Monitor adherence and manage side effects for complex regimens
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Be part of a high-touch, patient-centered pharmacy team
- Support therapies that require advanced coordination and care
- Help patients access life-changing medications with confidence
- Work in a collaborative environment where your expertise truly matters
- Education:
Bachelor s Degree required - Experience:
No experience required - Licensure/
Certifications:
Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Job requires standing and traveling for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills;
Attention to detail and ability to write legibly;
Ability to lift/push/pull 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals.
- The pay rate for this role starts at $64.37 per hour. New hire compensation will be determined by education and experience.
Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen

Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly
