Overview
These roles provide direct patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses or other Medical Professionals. These positions primarily focus on assisting patients with activities of daily living while also monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in patient condition. They also play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for patients. These roles perform a variety of tasks, such as taking patient histories, measuring and monitoring vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with minor procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with activities of daily living and monitor vital signs.
- Report changes in patient condition to supervising clinicians.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
- Take patient histories, prepare patients for examinations, and assist with minor procedures.
- Provide support under supervision and contribute to clinical specialty as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: None required.
- Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA, AMT, NAHP, ARMA, or NHA.
The job requires standing for prolonged periods and frequently bending/stooping/traveling. Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50 lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $18.37 - $28.47 Hourly
