Responsibilities- Perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures under the direction of a physician including extra‑cranial and intra‑cranial angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, myelograms, and cisternograms.
- Provide technical support for musculoskeletal procedures: discograms, aspirations, and therapeutic injections.
- Provide technical support for neuro‑interventional procedures including tumor embolization, epistaxis, spinal lesion embolization using particulate liquid and detachable technologies.
- Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
- Ensure proper safety standards are met.
- Instruct students and residents and perform preceptor duties when necessary.
- Perform quality assurance checks on equipment.
- Assist in maintaining supply inventory.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Medical Center information systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of coding procedures.
- Learns new techniques and technology by attending lectures, seminars, and educational readings.
- In addition to the above responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiography required. Associate's Degree in Radiography preferred.
Experience:
1 year relevant experience.
Licensure:
Registered Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.) required. ARRT (VI) certification preferred. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing and sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull 50–100 lbs. May be exposed to fumes, cold, heat, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
Position Compensation Range: $35.31 – $56.50 Hourly
