Clinical Pharmacist - Inpatient BMT & Malignant Hematology

Ensures the safe and effective use of medications by providing medication order verification while assessing for optimal drug product selection dosage regimen design effective administration and drug therapy monitoring services in the UVA Medical Center.

As the dedicated pharmacist for the oncology inpatient units, you’ll play a vital role in supporting patients undergoing stem cell transplantation, cellular therapy, and treatment for malignant hematologic conditions.

• Ensure safe, effective, and individualized medication therapy for high-acuity oncology patients
• Collaborate with hematology-oncology specialists, transplant teams, and nursing staff
• Support advanced treatments including CAR-T, DLI infusions, and novel immunotherapies

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree required.
• Experience:
  
  PGY-1 residency required or equivalent hospital experience. (3.years). PGY-2 residency is preferred for specialty areas.
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s in Pharmacy or Pharm. D Degree
• Experience:
  
  PGY-2 residency in Hematology Oncology or relevant clinical experience
• Licensure/
  
  Certifications:
  
  Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider. BLS certification required.

• The pay rate for this role starts at $64.37 per hour. New hire compensation will be determined by education and experience.

Position Compensation Range: $55.67 - $89.07 Hourly
