We are growing and looking for an experienced engineering professional to take on a leadership role within our team.
Senior Project Engineer/ManagerWe are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer/Manager who will serve as a key technical leader and client‑facing representative of the firm. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with demonstrated ability to manage projects and mentor junior staff in the following areas:
- Infrastructure Design, including Water, Sewer, and Road Construction
- Land Development Planning
- Regulatory Compliance and Site Analysis
- Documentation, Reporting, and Client Communication
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously from concept through completion, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget
- Serve as the primary client contact
, building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear, professional communication - Mentor and develop entry‑level and mid‑level staff, providing technical guidance and fostering professional growth
- Oversee and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications prepared by project team members to ensure quality and accuracy
- Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to land use, zoning, environmental impact, and building codes
- Conduct and oversee site feasibility studies and analysis, evaluating topography, soil composition, drainage, and environmental impact
- Prepare and review engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and documentation required for regulatory approvals and project records
- Collaborate with planners, surveyors, and municipal stakeholders to advance project goals
- Contribute to business development efforts including proposals, client meetings, and community engagement
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or actively pursuing licensure
- 5+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development and infrastructure
- Proven ability to manage projects and lead a team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software
- Familiarity with Virginia regulatory requirements preferred
