BIM Manager

VMDO Architects is seeking a BIM Manager to work closely with our Director of Design Technology, within the IT support team. Professional experience should include a minimum of 5 years working in the architectural profession or other design field (engineering or construction) in a BIM support role. This position offers the opportunity to work with multiple teams across numerous building typologies to support the use of office BIM standards and best practices for modeling and documentation.

We are looking for individuals with exceptional Revit skills, attention to detail, and a passion for technology in design. This is a full-time, salaried position that includes our full benefit package, and has a minimum of four days per week in-person office attendance in our Charlottesville office.

• Project initiation, setup and administration in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Revit.
• Support project teams in BIM execution, ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Help organize and maintain the firm’s content library.
• Assist with training and development of reference materials and resources.
• Collaborate with Director of Design Technology to develop and improve office BIM standards and best practices.
• Evaluate new software and actively participate in Design Technology peer groups and communities both online and locally.

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Science
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an AEC firm, with at least 3 years in a BIM management role.

• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Aptitude for technology and enthusiasm for continued growth and learning.
• Ability to work independently to carry out tasks with intermittent input and supervision.
• Exceptional knowledge of Revit (add-ins including py Revit, Ideate, etc. a plus).
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Enscape, Lumion, Bluebeam and Adobe Suite.
• Experience with additional design software (Rhino, Microstation, Archi
  
  CAD, DataCAD, etc.) a plus.
• Dynamo, Python and/or C# programming experience also a plus.
