Warehouse Manager

An established moving and relocation company in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Relocation Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse activities and support operational excellence. This role is central to ensuring efficient shipment flow, inventory accuracy, and minimal claims within a busy removals and storage environment.

• Oversee daily warehouse operations within a moving and storage facility, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound shipment flow
• Supervise warehouse personnel, including movers, packers and forklift operators, ensuring productivity and compliance with company standards
• Coordinate closely with drivers, operations teams and sales departments to support seamless relocation services
• Allocate storage space effectively to maximise capacity and maintain accurate storage records for household goods
• Ensure correct loading and handling procedures are followed to minimise damage claims during local and long-distance moves
• Monitor and maintain inventory management systems for accurate tracking of customers' effects and shipment status
• Lead regular warehouse inspections to uphold safety, cleanliness and regulatory compliance
• Oversee maintenance of equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks and warehouse machinery
• Manage facility upkeep, including dry air sprinkler systems, grounds maintenance and security measures
• Train staff on warehouse management systems and best practices specific to the removals and storage sector
• Prepare and analyse monthly performance reports, including tonnage metrics and operational comparisons
• Maintain adequate stock levels of packing materials and operational supplies to support relocation projects

• Two to three years’ experience within the moving and relocation industry
• Previous supervisory experience within a warehousing or storage environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control in a removals setting
• Certified Weighmaster qualification and a valid driving licence
• Operational knowledge of forklifts and dry air sprinkler systems
• Excellent communication, team leadership and customer-focused problem-solving skills
