Position Summary
As a Supervisor of Heavy Maintenance Planning, you will impact PSA Airlines’ growth by overseeing that the aircraft maintenance program tasks are executed, performed, and completed in an effective and efficient manner. You will be responsible for leading the Heavy Maintenance Planning group under the direction of the Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily activities of the Heavy Maintenance Planning group.
- Develop and oversee the training required to grow the talent in the heavy maintenance planning organization.
- Travel to Heavy Maintenance Facilities as required.
- Work with all groups involved in aircraft inductions and retirements to develop seamless transitions with fleet counts.
- Manage, plan, and communicate all maintenance allocations to the required departments within PSA.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all necessary reports as required by the Heavy Maintenance Planning Group.
- Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed by the Heavy Maintenance Planning group.
- Refine and implement Heavy Maintenance current year and 5-year plans via the approved optimization software.
- Maintain the technical and company manuals used in Heavy Maintenance Planning group.
- Recommend changes or new procedures to improve department and system performance.
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years’ experience in maintenance planning.
- Proven experience in aircraft maintenance with a working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Previous supervisory experience.
- If hired, must be able to obtain a valid passport.
- Ability to speak/read/write in English.
- If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher.
- 4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning/programs or related field, with at least 2 years in heavy maintenance planning.
