Role Definition - CDL Class "B" Driver with Air Brakes Endorsement - Charlotte
Charlotte, NC
TASKS
* Vehicle driven is a 26' CDL box truck
* Maintain neat appearance wearing Braddock uniform at all times
* Verify correct documents are available for scheduled delivery's .
* Verify customer provided documents match customer provided material
* Load truck for departure
* Unload truck upon return
* Drive truck in a safe manner obeying all traffic regulations
* Adhere to Braddock Distracted Driving policy
* Follow and maintain daily route sheet
* Maintain EDL
* Perform route in most efficient manner
* Ensure truck does not exceed stated weight limit
* Ensure scheduled pick-ups and deliveries are timely
* Ensure all paperwork is received and properly signed with all orders
* Keep up DOT logs and expense paperwork
* Provide courteous customer service
* Assist with loading & unloading at customer location as needed pallet jack use is often required
* Handle all customer parts with care
* Notify customer or Braddock plant if delays in delivery are expected
* Schedule preventative maintenance with office manager
* Notify general manager of potential new business
* Inspect and complete truck daily checklist before and after route
* Assist as needed in packaging and preparing work for daily shipments
* Develop professional relationships with customers
* Assist with production as directed
Route currently runs Charlotte NC/ Lavonia GA/Asheville NC area and back to Charlotte on M/W These tend to be 9 - 10 hr days depending upon the number of stops required starting at 8:30 AM.
Route currently runs Charlotte NC/ Lavonia GA back to Charlotte on F These tend to be 7 - 8 hr days depending upon the number of stops required starting at 8:30 AM.
Route runs in the Charlotte NC area on T/Th - These tend to be 6-8 hrs days depending upon the number of stops required starting between 8 and 10 AM.
