Transfer Driver

** Position Description*
* Immediately Hiring and Seating a Full Time Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and we want the right Transfer Driver to join us at Ryder in Charlotte, North Carolina

+ Driver Positions Pay Weekly

+ Hourly Pay: $19.00 Per Hour

+ Overtime Pay $28.50 Per Hour over 40

+ Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week

+ All Training is Paid Hourly Rate

+ Home Time:
Local - Home Daily

+

Shift: Morning Dispatch Every Day

+ 6:30am start time

+ usually no more than 400 miles in a day, some exceptions NC, SC, and VA based on the need

All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800+ Maintenance Facilities

+ Route:
Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities

+ Freight: No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement

** Requirements*
* + Minimum 21 years of age

+ Pass a Ryder Drug Test

+ Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years

+ Pass a DOT physical

+ Pass a Ryder road test

+ Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position

+ Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:

+ 9 months experience within the past 3 years,
** OR*
* + 2 years' experience within the last 5 years,
** OR*
* + 5 years' experience within the last 10 years

+ Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions

+ Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

** Responsibilities*
* + This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training and customer service

* + Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines

+ Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards

+ Maintaining accurate records and logs Other tasks as assigned
