OTR CDL Class A Team Truck Driver

Overview

DSL Express and partners now hiring Class A CDL Solo Truck Drivers for OTR! Company drivers with 2+ yrs of experience and a decent MVR/PSP score. Position available ASAP.

Pay is performance based but we offer percentage pay at 30% and option to switch to miles pay
. Every solo driver here is making well over 100k per year and some guys towards 140 s when working year around.

• We are paying up to 30% line haul plus bonuses. In this post covid market, drivers drive less and make more on this.
• Average pay in dead season is usually between $1900 to $2100 with some rare best weeks of about $2400+ and a rare slow week of $1500.
• Average pay in peak season is usually between $2100 to $2400 with some rare best weeks of about $2700+ and a rare slow week of $1900.
• Average miles on percentage pay is reduced on purpose. We not only save fuel but our contracts make more by the mile. Its a win/win. Usually 2000 to 2500 miles in slow season and up to 3000 in busy. You dont have to chase the dragons tail with miles or get burnt out but you make more. Plenty of time to make your stops as well and fewer missed appointment times when there is an appointment time.
  
  Its just a smarter way to do business.

• Every driver is given option to switch any time to up to 60 cents plus bonuses depending on EXP and MVR (Up to 65 for manual drivers).
• Average miles when doing miles pay is anywhere between 2500 and 3600 per wk. Some drivers do more than others.
• The average gross income is roughly $1600 to $2400 legal max per week per driver. A bit less for automatic only drivers.

• Want to drive in a team provided you have a team member?
• Up to 75 cents per mile plus bonuses. Depending on the EXP and MVRs of the team.
• Average miles when doing miles pay is anywhere between 5500 and 7000 per wk. Middle to lower side side recently.
• The average gross income is $4100 and $5200 per wk total split. Roughly $2000 to $2600 per week per team driver.
• Sorry - This is not a team market right now. Solos on percentage generally do better and especially when running by percentage.

• Must have Class A CDL. Additional Endorsements a bonus.
• Must-Have 2+ yrs CDL Exp.
• Must-Have Clean MVR and reasonable PSP report.
• Dry Vans or Refer work available.
• All No Touch Freight.
• Doesn’t matter where you live.
• We offer Unlimited miles within ELD Compliance but we push for reduced miles on percentage. Its more profitable for us and you (and safer)!

• Truck driving is a demanding job! You have to be healthy and able and willing to work.
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
• Must have a valid CDL Class A without pending suspensions.
• Must be able to work with modern ELD systems.
• Must be able to pass a drug test. No acceptations!
• Must have a valid medical card issued.
• Must have a stable work history and good references.
• Must have no more than 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the last 3 years.
• No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last 4 years.
• No DWI s, DUI s and BAC s in the last 4 years.
• No reckless driving convictions in the last 3 years.
• No license suspension for points, unpaid tickets in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations during the last year.
• Must provide no less than 3 years of work history, non-driving work history for the past 3 years will be also verified. Previous employers and references will be checked and must be verifiable.

• Weekly pay with direct deposit (no waiting on checks).
• Hazard Occupational Insurance for lost wages, medical and a death beneficiary payout (God forbid).
• Monthly bonuses depend on safety, delivery, and communication.
• Bonuses for passed DOT inspections.
• The average gross income for solo is $1900 to $2400 per week per driver (for solo) depending on the seasons.
• The average gross income for the team is $2000 to $2600 per wk per driver (middle to lower side recently).
