As a Supervisor of Heavy Maintenance Planning, you will oversee the aircraft maintenance program tasks to ensure they are executed, performed, and completed efficiently. You will lead the Heavy Maintenance Planning group under the direction of the Manager.
Job Responsibilities- Oversee the daily activities of the Heavy Maintenance Planning group
- Develop and oversee training to grow talent in heavy maintenance planning
- Travel to Heavy Maintenance Facilities as required
- Coordinate with teams involved in aircraft inductions and retirements for seamless fleet transitions
- Manage, plan, and communicate maintenance allocations to required PSA departments
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all required reports
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures
- Refine and implement current year and 5-year Heavy Maintenance plans via optimization software
- Maintain the technical and company manuals used in Heavy Maintenance Planning
- Recommend changes to improve department and system performance
- Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and related safety outputs
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of maintenance planning experience
- Proven aircraft maintenance experience with knowledge of maintenance programs
- Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
- Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Previous supervisory experience
- Must obtain a valid passport if hired
- Ability to speak/read/write in English
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (as required)
Preferred
- Associate Degree or higher
- 4 years of experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling/planning with at least 2 in heavy maintenance planning
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license or equivalent military experience
- Technical or vocational education in related fields
- Supervisory Responsibility: Supervisory position
- Delegation: In absence, responsibilities delegated to Manager of Heavy Maintenance Planning
- Authorities: None
- Work Environment: Professional office environment; standard office equipment used
- Physical Demands: Primarily sedentary; may require standing, walking, stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs
