- Maintain a clean, organized, and well‑functioning bus environment.
- Support student safety and uphold behavioral expectations during loading, riding, and unloading.
- Follow all state traffic laws and school transportation policies.
- Report route changes, safety concerns, or student conduct issues promptly.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students, families, and school staff.
- Submit required transportation reports and fuel invoices on time.
- Secure the bus and equipment at the end of daily routes.
- Provide general school support as needed (e.g., lunch duty, classroom assistance, or custodial tasks).
- Serve as a positive representative of the school’s mission, values, and community.
- A team‑oriented, customer‑service mindset with a positive attitude.
- Minimum age of 18 with at least one year of driving experience.
- A valid North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License with required endorsements.
- A current Bus Driver Pocket Card.
- Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol testing consistently.
- A clean driving history (no DWI convictions, no violations in the past 3 years).
- Working knowledge of North Carolina school bus laws and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to meet medium‑duty job requirements (lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally).
- Capacity to work safely in various indoor/outdoor environments and weather conditions.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to uphold safety standards related to blood borne pathogens (PPE provided where needed).
- Competitive weekly pay.
- Dedicated recruiter support.
- Opportunities for continued school‑based assignments.
- A mission‑driven environment where your work truly matters.
- A welcoming team that celebrates your growth and contributions.
We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics, in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
