We are seeking a reliable and efficient Parts and Service Driver to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and pickup of automotive or mechanical parts and equipment to our customers, vendors, and satellite stores. You will act as a key representative of our company, providing excellent customer service and ensuring operational efficiency at every step.

Responsibilities
  • Execute Deliveries and Pickups:
    Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver and retrieve parts and equipment to and from various locations.
  • Verify Orders:
    Accurately check items against shipping papers, invoices, and purchase orders during loading, delivery, and pickup to ensure correctness.
  • Load and Unload Cargo:
    Physically load and unload parts, using appropriate handling techniques to prevent damage during transit.
  • Optimize Routes:
    Plan and follow the most efficient routes to maximize timeliness and minimize delays, using GPS and mapping software as needed.
  • Provide Customer Service:
    Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
  • Manage Paperwork and Payments:
    Accurately complete delivery logs, record mileage, and obtain necessary signatures and receipts for all transactions. Collect payments (cash, check, or credit) when applicable.
  • Vehicle Maintenance and Safety:
    Perform daily routine maintenance checks (fuel, oil, cleanliness) and report any malfunctions or repair needs to the Parts Manager immediately. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist with Inventory:
    Support the parts department by assisting with stocking, pulling orders, conducting inventory counts, and maintaining a clean and organized work area/warehouse as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Education:

    High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred.
  • Driving Record: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record that meets company standards is essential.
  • Experience:

    Prior experience in a delivery, driving, or warehouse role is preferred; familiarity with automotive parts is a plus.
  • Physical Demands:
    Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and walk for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
  • Skills:

    Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail to ensure order accuracy. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills and proficiency with navigation tools/handheld devices.
