Job OverviewAs an ETL developer supporting production and project work in the GTS Data space, you will be responsible for understanding requirements, designing and implementing jobs, and proposing strategic and tactical solutions. You may be asked to work flexible hours, including approximately one weekend per month, and receive compensatory time off for overtime.
Responsibilities- Lead and guide ETL projects, ensuring completion and quality.
- Perform L3 production support (~25% of time): analyze issues, determine root causes, propose solutions, and communicate effectively with support and technology teams.
- Develop and maintain ETL solutions using Informatica, Hadoop, PL/SQL, Linux scripting, and related technologies (~75% of time).
- Analyze requirements, design and implement data movement and transformation solutions.
- Identify gaps and propose process/tool improvements.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (L2, development, testing, upstream/downstream partners).
- 10+ years of overall ETL and data warehousing development experience.
- Solid experience with Big Data technologies (HDFS, Spark, Impala, Hive) and/or Informatica Power Center.
- Oracle database experience and SQL writing/reading skills.
- Working knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self‑starter, proactive, and able to take ownership of projects.
- Experience with Auto Sys job scheduling (desired).
- Programming skills in Python or other languages (desired).
